We are so blessed to have a stellar crew for this workshop!!
Introducing our crew:
Abigail Smith, Jill Sharpe, Gloria Glo & Audra Jo:
Abigail: Abigail dances for the emptying, the tears, the laughs, the sighs and the refreshed spirit. She has been dancing 5 Rhythms for almost a decade and crewing with Chantell Foss for many years
Jill: I am grateful for this west coast dance community and consider myself 5 - dance teacher blessed! I can’t remember “the when” of it starting, but I recall first steps … Introduced to five rhythms by Joanne’s tribe in Victoria (at a Cathy Altman retreat), then danced with Bettina’s for 12 years in Vancouver, then migrated to Victoria for 7 with Joanne. Of late I amble between Victoria and Saltspring so have had the pleasure of dancing with Shauna in forests and Anne-Marie on beaches during covid and have sashayed to Chantelle’s rhythms in Victoria too! 5 is a good number.
Gloria: As long as I can remember, I have been dancing; but It wasn’t until I found 5Rhythms, that I truly understood why I needed to dance. After dancing my first wave in 2013, I embarked on the most profound, expansive, and transformative journey through the many layers that this practice offers. Dance has become a vehicle for healing, freedom, liberation, and ecstasy.
My 5Rhythms practice has opened my body, mind, spirit, and awareness into the manifestation of Mandalic Visionary Art, and the creation of a Retreat Center in the heart of the jungle of Belize, where I host regular Immersions and Retreats. As a teacher in Training, I offer regular 5Rhythms® Sweats in Belize and Vancouver, BC. As a teacher, I offer a Sanctuary for Body and Spirit to merge.
Audra: I am a somatic psychotherapist and hope to teach 5Rhythms one day. I have been dancing 5Rhythms for three years, but I am a lifelong dancer.
